Artist Statement:
After a career as Design Director for WYFF 4, I chose a retirement vocation in creating with clay. Starting on the potter’s wheel for the first few years, I churned out a lot of functional ware. Then I discovered a love of hand-building as well… and then a delight in making people smile. That will explain my whimsical creations, many that I call “Ozzians,” after my “Oz Pottery” studio. Working there brings me all I need: joy, serenity, relaxation… and it feeds my need for creativity as well.
